Beef Skillet Dinner is our version of spaghetti using a brown rice penne pasta. It contains an Italian beef flavor in a skillet form and is a fat and cholesterol free meal. Easy to make, just brown 1 lb. ground beef and add your favorite spaghetti sauce.
Brown rice pasta (brown rice flour and bran (organic), dehydrated carrots, celery, red and green bell peppers, onions, parsley, tomatoes, garlic powder, basil, bay leaves.
Brown 1 lb. ground beef and drain grease. In large pan, add 3-1/2 cups water, meat, dry mix. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook on medium heat until pasta is tender. Add 2 cups of your favorite spaghetti sauce and cook 5 more minutes. ***May top with shredded cheese.

The first one that I tried was their Beef Skillet Dinner Meal. The first thing that I took notice of was the packaging. MFTH packages their gluten-free products in a very unique way, so that you have the ability to see what's inside! I have been "duped" by a few companies in the past that have delicious looking pictures of their products on the outside, then once you open up the package, you are left disheartened and unsatisfied. But with Mixes from the Heartland, you can see the contents of their products, which immediately gained my trust and approval.
Following the directions on the package, I browned 1 lb. of ground beef (in this case, I used turkey beef) and drained the grease. Then, in a large pan, added 3-1/2 cups water, meat and the dry mix. Then brought the mix to a boil and cooked it on medium
heat until pasta was tender. Then, I added 2 of Prego Traditional spaghetti sauce and cooked for 5 more minutes.
The end result was an absolutely delicious dish that took only 15 minutes to prepare! The beauty of this dish is that it's fast, easy, healthy and can feed up to 6 people. I shared the dinner with my girlfriend and two roommates, whom are all not gluten-free, and they all absolutely loved it. In fact, I had to fight them off for seconds!
I would highly recommend this dish for a quick, easy and tasty meal for the entire family.

I'm not a vegetarian, or vegan, or all that health conscious in all of my eating decisions, but I am trying to make good eating decisions for my family. I've had great luck with the Sweet Potato Brownies (Blondies) and with the Cowboy Soup, so I gave this one a whirl.
My wife and daughter loved it, and my wife asked me to pack left overs and my daughter ate all we served her. My son, the picky eater (he's 5) wasn't thrilled, but didn't call it terrible either.
All told, it was very tasty - smelled great (great spice blend.) Only drawback was that I over cooked the pasta a bit which kept it from being a 5 star meal.
I'd definitely recommend it to anyone eating gluten free or just looking to cook healthy meals for their family.
